Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm (Playstation 3 only)

Judging from the preview on IGN, it seems the impossible may be happening. A Naruto game is coming out which might be good, not only this but it could be great:

Read the preview and watch the trailer. It made my day to be honest and I can't wait. It seems like CyberConnect2 really want to make a great game for the fans and I respect them a lot.

IGN praise it and the trailer speaks for itself. Looks like my dream has come true.

Basic Features:

-25 playable characters (not including transformations).
- Story mode spans up to Sasuke retrieval arc.
- Open ended 3D world.
- Run on water, and walls with fluid motion.
- Great graphics.

The Naruto games have been decent but not really them "Must Buy" types.

I'm on the edge if I should get it or not. Being 39.99 for the PS2 is one thing but being probably 60 bucks is another. I may just give it a rental.

I think this will be an exception. CyberConnect2 sound really dedicated to making a must-have Naruto game which offers a similar experience as the anime.

Also it seems really strange they decided to make it a ps3 exclusive but I think that only works in our favour.

I'm definatly buying this unless it gets a trashy review from IGN, which it doesn't look like it will since they are already impressed with it. IGN also rate and review anime so I think they can judge better then other sites how good it is.

I don't really find it that strange at all. The "Ultimate Ninja" brand has always been a Sony exclusive. I'm still going to rent it. I do have high hopes for it, but I have for other games in the past only to be dissapointed. Big game makers too, so just cause someone spent their time on it, doesn't immediately mean a automatically good game.

Though being on the PS3, I look forward to a Naruto game going next gen.

I've never bought a Naruto game before so I didn't know about the brand always having been Sony only, but I have followed interviews and reviews of previous games and none were as positive as that one. Which is why I think this game will be different. It seems they have the core gameplay spot on. Of course I know very well how a game can end up failing to meet expectations. Still I remain optimistic this time!

Mostly though, like you, I'm excited to see what a next gen Naruto game will be like.
