I appreciated this film since I'm a huge fan of the video games and absolutely hate the three films that were made prior to this. The ending serves as a small tie in to the upcoming resident evil 5, and has a few characters from previous games. Leon S. Kennedy and Ingrid Hunnigan from RE4 and Claire Redfield from RE 2 and Code: Veronica make appearances. The plot is about a T-virus outbreak in an airport 7 years after Raccoon city was destroyed, and the government investigating the distribution of Umbrella Corporation bio-weapons on the black market. But the plot pretty much takes back seat to the action, true to the usual Resident Evil formula.
