Well I've noticed that in the Japanese, especially with Nell's name, the "ru" is what makes the "L" sound.

Neru = Nell
and some others as well, but it's 3:15am and I can't think that straight.


But I've been thinking lately, is Rukia's name REALLY supposed to be Lukia?
Or is it that the "ru" can mean an "L", but not all the time?

*shrugs*
it's late, can't think straight, your opinions on this?

Haha, that would be interesting to find out. It makes me think of lukewarm water or else...Luke Skywalker. I've always found it fascinating that the "L" and the "R" seem interchangeable in Japanese. ^^

yeah, that was one of them.. the original spelling of Arrancar was allankar or something..

and someone did a picture on deviantART where they called Rukia, Lukia, and it made me think.

Funny thing is..I hear the R sound in Rukia...

As with the lesbian Vaizard. It sounds Like Risa instead of Lisa...

It seems to me that r is used for l...not the reverse

I've seen this before and I've always wondered about it but I never decided to look into it. I think it was after Death Note when I looked at death-god.org and they refered to Light Yagami as Raito Yagami heh.
