Ok what is your favorite MP3 player mine would have to been the Ipod I been just love the click Wheel also my current Ipod has 160 GB so I can store a lot of stuff on it. Also I find very reliable compare to the Creative Zen since my Zen broke in two months and my old 30 GB is still working.

I'm only voting between Zune and iPod since they're the top competetors.
Zunes = bricks = indestructable
iPoed = thin = easily broken
THAT is enough reason for me.
My friend dropped her Zune down six flights of metal stairs and it still works.
I witnessed someone drop an iPod out of their POCKET onto the sidewalk and saw the screen break.. making it unuseable.
Zunes take MP4 format videos. .... Bleach eppies anyone?
Plus, they got bigger screens.
Zunes get my vote between the two.
I'd like to point out I have a 512MB Sansa Sandisk.

I never got my hand on a Zune yet but they do look nice. Ipod do hold MP4 formats too but the screen is a little small but they have increase the size of the screen on the Ipod classic so it is a little better. But nowadays most MP3 players can play MP4 videos so it isn't that big of a deal anymore.

I just wanted an mp3 player that played my mp3s. I wanted all of them in one neat place, and in a smaller package, otherwise I would have kept my CD player. I didn't need it to play videos, host my pictures, or any of that extra stuff. And I wanted something less than $200.
So I got a lovely little Sony thing. It's very tiny. 8 GB because I didn't think I would need more. Things don't skip, it has an FM radio, shuffle, easy browsing, clock display, turns on and off insanely fast...yeah, that's all I need. It -does- have like playlists, videos, pictures and other jazz...but like I said, I don't really need that, and the screen's pretty small. So yeah, I'm good.

Personally I HATE iPods, I like to have something different. I have no problem with Zune, but I don't have one either xD My first MP3 was a Creative Zen Neeon, and my newer one is currently an iRiver Clix, and they both are fantastic! (:

I chose other, because I have a really awesome mp3 player that still works even after it got like fifty pounds dropped on it.

I voted 'Other'.
My favourite is Sony NWZ-A816, Digital Media Player.
Memory: 4GB.
I love this one, it was quite cheap, but it's just.. perfect.
It can store anything, like videos, files, pictures, programs and well.. music of course. xD

I'll just go with my phone. Sony Ericson Walkman W580i. It has expandable memory (using micro memory sticks) and being a bluetooth cell, can be used with blue tooth headphone sets. Plus, it's pretty cheap

Ipod,if you have a large music/media library like moi, and want to get the regular video/classic thing since I don’t like the nanos in general and small hard drives are for wimps. The new ones are okay since they’re more substantial and more durable. 80 GB for like $240…or $340 for 160GB, I'm faithfully waiting until the touch gets more space :D so I can upgrade from 30GB video.
It’s probably one of the most widely used media players, so there’s also lots of resources you can find on the internet and people to comiserate/consult with if your ipod has a booboo, don’t go to the macforums. The rumor about the battery crapping out is not totally true since I’ve had mine for 2+ years and it still seems to be healthy, although the screen and ipod itself quite scratched up (you’ll probably want to get a case).

I agree the Ipod 160 GB is great if you have a large library of music and videos. I have a 160GB with about 10 GB of music and 60 GB of videos also I can store stuff like files on it.

Do you have lots of album art as well? I heard some other reviews about the classic being really sluggish when you're browsing if you have album art for your library *sigh*.

Yeah it does get sluggish if you have a lot but the kinda fix it with their new patch that came out, before the patch the click wheel for the classic had a lot of problems.

How did your Zen hold up? I was thinking of getting one, but a number of the customer reviews reported having problems with it.

i think philips is the best cause i'm using my mp3 player for a year now and it's still nicely working. it's 1gb. on the other hand, my friend had an ipod but it was broken like in 4 months. i know Zen's are pretty good too.
btw, this is what i have:

Thanks for the input! o.o I wonder if it differs with the Zen models? I may try getting one and using it while keeping my old one for insurance...

BAH! They all suck Well, the top ones do. iPods are made by apple. Dead give-away they suck. MS is stupid and tried to put new firmware and software out before it was ready, thus causing charging problems, freezing problems, incorrect album art and names, ect. And customer support is stupid no matter where you go... It all sucks. But if any, Zune. Zunes just look so much nicer than all the others and they have amazing features. Oddly enough they don't have a clock...

I voted Zune...I have one of them and they are great.
They hold tons of shiz (I gots the 30 MG one) and they, like pokey said, are virtually indestrubtible., I've dropped mine on cement and it still works perfectly XDDD
They ahave great features. Music, videos (tons of them...I have like 50 AMVs on mine right now xD) pics, the radio..even wireless internet (though i haven't figured out how to use THAT so far xD).....and you can get music from other people's Zunes....you can share....though it sucks you can't share vids but it's still awesome.
At first I thought iPods were the pwnage before I got a Zune.....but now that I have a Zune I love it. The only negative thing is the headphones that come with it are meh....mine have broken because the base of the headphones, the thing that plugs into the Zune, kinda unraveled......but they are magnetic XD

I've had an iPod Nano for a few years. It's been dropped plenty of times, on surfaces from concrete to metal bleachers, and I'm 6'2", it's had a distance to travel to the ground. I've listened to it for hours in the hot sun. Everything short of getting it wet. It still works. I've Rockboxed it so that I wouldn't have to use the Apple firmware, because it's plain and boring. These things are extremely durable in my opinion. Don't just hate it because it's Apple. I only have a hate for their computers.

I have an ipod 80GB Video, I have dropped it a couple of times and it still works and looks fine, it has frozen once and I freaked out, I had to let the battery die then recharge it to make it work other than that it keeps me company on the bus to and from TAFE
