I think the Naruto Manga is at a weird point. It kinda seems like they are trying to end to the story really quickly. What do you think?

well, it looks like jiraiya's dead and there are many battles ahead. I think they won't finish the story until naruto becomes the hokage. and I'm a huge fan of naruto so I don't want them to quit. naruto's very popular worldwide so I don't think they'll quickly finish the story which brings them millions of dolars.

Well it's a movie, so it's basically a filler. It isn't part of the story. And I saw that preview too: I don't think he will die in the movie. It's just for the suspense, so that people go and watch it, especially if they want to know what happened to Naruto. :p

Aside from that, Jiraiya will probably die. Oh wait. He's dead already.

Oh come on ; you don't think he can escape Pein in his condition? He won't survive till Tsunade gets to him (she doesn't even know he's hurt... yet). And Pein will be assured he's dead. Believe it.

Overall kick ass chapter with some good fashion fighting. Does Itachi have Sasuke's number or does Sasuke have something up his sleeve? I guess we will find out next week. The Sasuke that Itachi has pinned is probably a diversion or some sort of genjutsu, I don't believe they would end a fight that has had so much build up and to have it end like this.

If it is over, I'll be fine with it seeing as I'm a huge Itachi fan. :p

This fight needs to get going. It has been pretty boring so far. I guess that's how all genjutsu fights are. I hope they start using other techniques. I am more intrested in the madara fight than the sauske/itachi, and that's not a good thing. I mean this fight has been building up since the beginning and it's not delivering, at least not for me.

Oh, and commenting on the Jiryaia fight. I belive he is dead, (though I really do hope he isn't, he is my favorite naruto Character). But the one reasuring thing is what Pain said after he killed his former sensei. IF Jiraiya had known what kind of technique Pain had been using, Pain would not have one. Which just shows, that Jiraiya was more powerful (which for me is a little bright spot.) What I really want to know is what message did he relay to the frog.

This week's chapter was pretty badass. As a Sasuke hater I must admit that move was pretty badass but I kinda knew all along Itachi had some ace up his sleeve. Now that both are running quite low on chakra, I feel that the battle may be drawing near. It's shaping up to be a good fight and should be awesome animated if they don't decided to F*ck things up.

From what Zetsu said, He should have dodged attacks that he would usually dodge. Which tells me, Sauske is still ways below Itachi. It would seem that Itachi (according to Zetsu) might have been injured already, before sauske arrived.

It looks like were going to see how much shino has grown up ... though it will probablly not do much.

Hopefully more will be explained in the next chapter.

I've been wondering since 397 what Madara could possibly tell Sasuke that would earn his trust and allegiance. Knowing what he already knew about him from Itachi there was no reason to trust Madara. This was the main who apparently aided him in the massacre of his clan. That stole the eyes from his own brother and inspired Itachi to do the same. By any definition a villain. How could he possibly trust him, I didn't see how until this bombshell.....

Itachi's genocidal act against his own clan was not a lone psychotic rampage but an order....by the 3rd Hokage and the Leaf elders?!!!!

Brilliant. And it's plausible. After all he was an ANBU captain, under direct command of the Hokage. The was some clear distrust among the Uchiha elite and leaders of Konoha as they had a secret meeting place and his father wanted Itachi to be the Uchiha's "important connection" to the leadership of the village.

Their must have been something that they feared. Maybe the ability to control the Bijuu with Mangekyo Sharingan was considered such a danger they felt all Uchiha must die. Maybe they uncovered a plot to overthrow the Hokage and somehow used Itachi to prevent it.

We know that Danzou sent Sai on a mission to assassinate Sasuke to prevent Orochimaru from obtaining his body. That could be related to the power they feared. One wonders why the didn't just kill Sasuke as a boy after Itachi spared him. Was Itachi really serious about taking Sasuke's eyes? Maybe he changed his mind at the last minute.

And the thing that really interests me is what this secret truth about Itachi is that he wanted hidden from Madara. Aside from his talent what is so special about Itachi? I like how everything is coming full circle and going back to the very origins of the founding of Konoha.

Btw did anyone else crack up when after Madara said he exhausted every resource to get more power including his friends and brother, Sasuke replied, "..You bastard."? lol

I must say I'm loving this, it even indirectly put Naruto in the loop.
Sasuke didn't really have any reason anymore to interact with Konoha but he has a damn good one now, I think we will see a clash between him and Naruto based on Naruto's nindo to change people.
Basically what he has said to Neji about changing the Hyuga is true for Konoha as a whole, where Sasuke will see destruction to avenge the past, Naruto will see change and redemption for the future or something like that.

Even though it briefly explains it in the manga, it goes into detail if you look it up on wiki or any other site with his bio.

I just happened to come across information on Yondaime when I was browsing some pictures of. I clicked on a link and it talked about the legendary Flying Thunder God jutsu and how he sealed the Kyuubi. Mainly just intrested in why he was called the greatest shinobi ever, especially with people like Madara around who has Sharingan.

@Zentari - yep I was being sarcastic, but Yondaime would never loose to an Uchiha because basically he would never loose to any Shinobi. Naruto is a different story though...

I think Madara's goal will probably become more apparent when he explains why he participated in the massacre of the Uchiha clan along with Itachi. Right now his history lesson will explain the relation between the Uchiha and Konoha before they were slaughtered based on their past.

It's possible the relation with the Hokage and the clan had always been awkward after the last fight between Madara and Hashirama which would be why Fugaku made such a big deal about Itachi (the son of the current Uchiha leader) becoming an Anbu, the group of ninja directly under the command of the Hokage.
I'm guessing the seemingly disappearance of the Senju as a clan also had something to do with it but in any case as long as we don't know what was Hashirama and Madara's disagreement and how it influenced the relation between Konoha and the Uchiha for the decades to come, we can't really understand what was expected from Itachi from all sides and why he finally killed his own kind.

We get a little more insight on the Itachi/Sasuke situation and more importantly that Sasuke revenge thing has pretty much been watered down. :p Well if this isn't just a fairy tale anyway. Like said previously, he has said too many things for it not to be real. Still don't like Itachi being the good guy and all. It's like Kishi wants us to feel sorry for him and I kinda don't like that in a way.

What are your thoughts?

Now what happens that itachi is dead? What about sauske? Where does he goe from here.

Better yet, what about akatsuki? Where do they go from here, with like half of their soldiers gone.

The Akatsuki pretty much need a few more Jinchuriki but need more members to extract them from their host. So I doubt they seperate yet. They still need Nartuto's Nine Tails but with half their forces gone, it will take them long. I can't speak for Kisame, he doesn't look like he's into this thing as much as the rest.

Sasuke? Who knows. If he believes in Madara, he'll go after the village. If he doesn't, then who really knows. I guess he prepares to fight Madara seeing as he was an acomplice to the murders of his clan.

i think sasuke will realise his brother's will eventualy for protecting konoha and stop any new wars and will try to fight madara and kill him in hopes to not reopening any new vengeance war. as for naruto well he is the hero so eventually he will succeed or die like his father

I doubt Naruto will die. He will more then likely become Hokage later on. Of course not now, but in the distant future. I can see Sasuke dying by one Pain or Madara (Madara more then likely).

Tsukiyomi is the eye technique that puts people in a trance. Itachi did it to Kakashi (where he stabbed him while hanging up on a cross) and Sasuke (where he made him relive the slaughter of the Uchiha clan) and makes them relive it over and over. Personally I hate the eye design of his eyes. I find Kakashi's and Madara's much more cooler. Itachi's was more original, so I loved it too.

The "I'm sorry, Sasuke. There won't be a next time" made me tear up abit.

In terms of the gift, perhaps a way to combat the sharingan so that he isn't affected by it or any other genjutus's.

That's mighty generous of Itachi.

I guess he thought that there was a chance that with the powers that were given to him, he would go after Madara in the Akatsuki but maybe he was also thinking about they other way around and attack Konoha. That is why he gave Naruto this power of his. So maybe Naruto could stop Sasuke from doing so.

Overall Naruto is picking up though. Despite the horrible loss a few chapters ago, I am finally interested again.

Well that part of Itachi in tears wasn't in those past issues (otherwise people would speculate) but my guess when Itachi caught up with him, Sasuke had no other choice but to attack and that is the reason he did that. He was going to die anyway, so why not go out not like a bitch, like shown in those previous chapters.

What ability he might have? I really don't know. I was thinking it had something to do with the Kyuubi power seeing as the Uchiha are known to somehow control/supress it's power but really it could be anything.
